Counseling Services

We meet with individuals, families, and run groups. This may include specialized cognitive counseling, Social Skills Training, Interpersonal Conflict, Support Network building,  Communication Skills Training, Boundaries Education, Grief and Loss, Depression, Anxiety, Trauma-Focused CBT, Stress and Anger Management/Frustration Tolerance, Parenting Education and staff/caregiver trainings and consultation as identified in the client's
Individual Support Plan (ISP).

We meet you where you are at, conforming my therapeutic approach to your presenting needs, and encouraging you to be as active in your own therapeutic process as possible.  We may be active in my intervention, including giving suggestions, interpretations, challenging, creative expression/arts, journaling, mindfulness training, CBT/DBT, Play Therapy and occasionally suggesting homework.

We believe in an inherent tendency and ability for people to grow and learn about themselves and the world around them.  A client is encouraged to explore their own thoughts and emotions in a safe, warm and supportive therapeutic environment and find new solutions, skills, insight and awareness around life's challenges.

We are committed to partnering with social workers to provide the best services possible to families and individuals in need. This partnership ensures the best chance of a successful intervention by providing timely updates and paperwork, and by increasing the safety of the clients in our care. -Kipp
